Job summary

Motion Recruitment has partnered with a leading Financial Services company in Columbus, OH to hire a Specialty Software Engineer on a hybrid, 12-month contract. The role requires hands-on developers with strong Python and Java skills and experience in cloud-native environments and GenAI-enabled solutions.

You will engage in moderately complex initiatives, contribute to large-scale planning, and collaborate with client teams to accelerate AI adoption and modernize enterprise platforms.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Specialty Software Engineering experience or equivalent
• Self-starter and hands-on
• Skilled in systems thinking
• Fluent in Python, Java, and one additional language (e.g. Golang, Rust, Javascript)
• Versed in cloud-native development
• Experienced with implementing GenAI-enabled solutions

Responsibilities

• Consult on or participate in moderately complex initiatives within Specialty Software Engineering and contribute to large-scale planning
• Review and analyze moderately complex challenges requiring in-depth evaluation
• Contribute to resolution of issues while ensuring policies, procedures and compliance requirements
• Collaborate with client personnel in Specialty Software Engineering
• Accelerates enterprise AI adoption and modernization efforts
• Creates reusable platform capabilities for multiple stakeholders
• Simplifies onboarding of new AI use cases and data-driven solutions
• Improves operational resilience through monitoring, observability and automation
• Reduces technology duplication through centralized platform services
• Enables faster realization of value from DCMS data modernization investments
• Supports scalable and governed consumption of enterprise data through AI services
