Job summary

Allstate is seeking a Platform Consultant to bridge business needs with engineering delivery, focusing on platform modernization, API integrations, and secure data migration across Azure-based environments.

You will collaborate with Product, Engineering, Security, and Compliance teams, validate APIs, and help plan cutovers while ensuring PHI/PII and HITRUST considerations are addressed. This role emphasizes hands-on execution within platform delivery and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

7+ years progressive experience.
Hands-on API + integration experience.
Azure/cloud experience.
Working knowledge of DevOps (CI/CD, repos, deployments).
Ability to execute within platform delivery (not just architect).
Strong communication + documentation skills.
Work directly with engineers (debug, validate, iterate).
Communicate across technical and business stakeholders.
Document risks, decisions, and dependencies clearly.

Responsibilities

Support platform solution design and integration strategies.
Perform hands-on API validation and testing (e.g., Postman).
Assist in Azure migration planning, environment readiness, and cutover execution.
Coordinate DevOps readiness: Repo access, CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes.
Support data migration planning and validation (including PHI/PII considerations).
Identify risks, blockers, and dependencies across environments, security, and integrations.
Collaborate with engineering to translate business requirements into implementable solutions.
Produce technical documentation, decision logs, and stakeholder updates.
