Job summary

Lockheed Martin’s ISR UAS division seeks world‑class software engineers to join a team delivering platform‑level software for advanced unmanned systems. You will design, deploy, and maintain deployable images and runtime environments, coordinating with software, systems, and security teams to ensure reliability and security during rapid field deployments.

You will work on building system images, middleware integration, and script development while participating in peer code reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• Experience with the software development process in a team environment (peer reviews, unit testing, configuration management, defect tracking).
• Experience in C++, Bash shell, or Python.
• Experience with Linux operating systems (Red Hat preferred).
• Familiarity with GitLab CI/CD pipelines for automated builds, tests, and deployments.

Responsibilities

• Support development and maintenance of platform-level software for ISR and UAS systems.
• Build and maintain deployable system images and runtime environments.
• Collaborate with software, systems, and security teams to ensure reliability, repeatability, and security.
• Provide ongoing troubleshooting and enhancements to keep the platform stable and ready for rapid field deployment.
• Travel up to 10% may be required.
