Job summary

Octozi is seeking a Software Engineer to join a small team building an AI-powered review platform for clinical trial data. You will own well-scoped pieces from spec to production, collaborating with the CTO and founding engineers to ship features quickly and maintain high quality.

The role focuses on building across our Python and TypeScript stack, improving reliability, and integrating LLM-powered components within a hybrid AI + heuristics approach. NYC HQ, hybrid work setup.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years shipping production software.
• Solid backend fundamentals in Python.
• Comfort writing frontend code in TypeScript/React when needed.
• Working knowledge of relational databases (Postgres or similar) and SQL.
• Care about correctness, readability, and testing.

Responsibilities

• Build features end-to-end from spec to deployment.
• Improve reliability, performance, and test coverage.
• Contribute to data pipelines ingesting and processing clinical trial data.
• Evaluate and integrate LLM-powered components as part of hybrid AI + heuristics.
