Job summary

GlobalLogic, a Hitachi Group Company, is seeking an experienced Platform Services Technical Leader responsible for designing and supporting highly available private cloud infrastructure. You will drive automation, ensure platform reliability, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable compute and storage services.

Qualifications

• 8-12+ years in SRE, platform engineering, or cloud operations.
• Technical leadership across multi-team infrastructure programs.
• Strong coding skills in Python/Go/Ruby and automation experience.
• Experience with large-scale cloud or hybrid-cloud deployments.
• Proficiency in CI/CD, Kubernetes, and incident response.
• Ability to translate security/compliance requirements into systems.

Responsibilities

• Set the technical strategy for Platform Services work.
• Own architectural decisions for centralized platform APIs, CI components, continuous delivery workflows, and automated service onboarding.
• Lead the move from manual promotion processes toward reliable, automated, gated delivery workflows.
• Define patterns for service onboarding, deployment validation, operational readiness, audit-friendly change control, and rollback safety.
• Partner with other teams to align dependencies, remove blockers, and drive clear technical decisions.
• Lead design reviews for services, with attention to isolation, observability, security controls, and operational ownership.
• Mentor senior and mid-level engineers; raise the quality of designs, code reviews, runbooks, and incident analysis.

Function

IT Infrastructure & Systems Administration

• As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will architect, build, and support highly available, scalable, and resilient private cloud infrastructure.
• You will focus on automating operations, improving platform reliability, and enabling seamless service deployment for internal customers. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure platform stability, security, and continuous improvement to provide reliable compute and storage services.
• 8-12+ years of experience in SRE, platform engineering, infrastructure, distributed systems, or cloud operations.
• Demonstrated technical leadership across multi-team infrastructure or platform programs.
• Strong software engineering skills in Python, Go, Ruby, or similar languages, plus experience with infrastructure-as-code and production automation.
• Deep experience operating large-scale cloud or hybrid-cloud systems with strong reliability, security, and observability requirements.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD, deployment orchestration, Kubernetes, AWS, and production incident response.
• Ability to translate compliance and security requirements into practical engineering systems and operating models.
• Excellent written communication, architecture review, mentoring, and cross-functional leadership skills.

Requirements

GlobalLogic estimates the starting pay range for this role to be performed remotely to be $130,000 to $140,000 and reflects base salary only. This pay range is provided as a good-faith estimate, and the amount offered may be higher or lower. GlobalLogic takes many factors into consideration in making an offer, including candidate qualifications, work experience, operational needs, travel and onsite requirements, internal peer equity, prevailing wage, responsibilities, and other market and business considerations.
