Job summary

Testsieger is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to own the full Linux server landscape across on‑prem and AWS. You will harden networks, manage security, and automate with Ansible while maintaining container platforms and CI/CD pipelines.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Data, and Product, driving incidents to root cause and aligning with the company’s ownership culture. Join a modern stack including Proxmox, AWS, Ansible, Nomad, Docker, MySQL, Python, GitHub Actions, and Next.js.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience administering Linux server environments (Debian/Ubuntu).
• Strong networking skills: TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, VPNs.
• Proven security hardening practices; access control and best practices.
• Experience with Ansible in production; container orchestration (Nomad/Kubernetes).
• Experience with AWS or similar cloud platforms.
• MySQL administration in production environments.
• Scripting with Bash and Python for tooling.
• Monitoring, logging and incident troubleshooting as core skills.
• Nice-to-have: Terraform, RabbitMQ, Redis, Zero Trust concepts.
• Fluent English; German a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own operation of Linux server landscape (on-prem and AWS).
• Harden networks, manage firewalls, VPNs, and certificates.
• Automate infrastructure with Ansible, maintain reproducible configurations.
• Maintain container stack (Docker, Nomad, Traefik) and CI/CD (GitHub Actions).
• Administer MySQL in production including backups and performance tuning.
• Extend monitoring and logging with Grafana and New Relic, drive root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with Engineering/Data/Product and explain architectural choices.
