Job summary

Superhuman is seeking a Platform Security Engineer to build secure-by-default infrastructure across a multi-product cloud.

You will partner with Platform, SRE, Release Engineering, Data and Product teams to enable fast, secure development and to safeguard customer data while advancing AI-powered security practices.

The role emphasizes hands-on design, automation, and risk-aware decision making in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience securing cloud infrastructure at scale in AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Hands-on cloud security depth, designing and building secure cloud architecture.
• Infrastructure as code fluency, Terraform or equivalent, building secure modules and policy-as-code.
• Experience with software supply chain and CI/CD security, containerization (Docker, K8s), and risks.
• Understanding of zero-trust and IAM for human and non-human identities.
• Interest in using AI to solve Security challenges at scale.
• Familiarity with Python, Java, or Go for scripting/automation.
• Ability to think like an adversary and engineer to mitigate risks.
• Proven ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure-by-default infrastructure for developers across the product ecosystem.
• Pioneer AI-enabled security tooling and automate vulnerability remediation with SRE and Release Engineering.
• Partner with Platform, Release Engineering, SRE, Data and Product teams to define secure environments.
• Translate security requirements into actionable roadmaps aligned with business goals.
• Balance security excellence with product speed while protecting customer data.
• Help define the playbook for AI-powered systems and tackle novel security challenges.
