Job summary

Core Specialty Insurance is recruiting a Platform Engineer to design, build, and maintain enterprise platforms that power teams across the organization. You will develop automation, self-service capabilities, and reusable patterns to boost productivity while reducing complexity.

The role centers on secure, reliable platforms with cloud-native architectures, SLO/SLI definitions, and strong collaboration with application teams to embed reliability into CI/CD processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience with Azure cloud platform.
• Terraform IaC experience.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and source control.
• Scripting knowledge (PowerShell/Python/Bash).
• Understanding of DevOps and observability tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement highly available, fault-tolerant architectures on cloud-native services.
• Define and operationalize SLOs/SLIs and error budgets.
• Build and maintain IaC (Terraform) for deployments.
• Develop automated remediation and self-healing capabilities.
• Establish monitoring and observability with Datadog, CloudWatch, and OpenTelemetry.
• Drive FinOps and cost-optimization initiatives.
• Support DR/BCP testing and regional isolation validation.
• Collaborate with application teams to embed reliability into CI/CD pipelines.
