JustPlay seeks a Platform QA Chapter Lead to scale quality across its core app experience powering games, live ops, and rewards. You’ll lead QA engineers, set testing standards, and partner with Engineering to raise reliability across devices and releases.

Focus areas include automation, AI-driven testing, and contract testing, while building robust test plans and frameworks to ensure top-tier user experiences in a fast-paced, global team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of QA for mobile apps or platforms, including at least 2 years leading teams.
• Ability to design scalable QA processes in fast-paced environments.
• Strong experience with automation, regression testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands-on with mobile debugging tools (Android Studio, Xcode) and network tools like Charles.
• Proactive about AI-assisted testing and new QA technologies.

Responsibilities

• Own the full QA lifecycle for JustPlay’s app and platform features—from test planning to defect management.
• Foster a quality culture by embedding QA best practices early and linking quality to product velocity.
• Drive AI-driven testing and predictive approaches to reduce manual effort and identify risks earlier.
• Partner with development, design, and product teams to integrate QA early in the release cycle.
• Design and maintain comprehensive test plans and automated suites for key user flows.
• Lead, mentor, and scale the QA team with clear processes and testing frameworks.
• Implement automation and regression testing strategies using Maestro, Espresso, XCTest, Appium, or similar.
• Use contract testing (Pact) to validate backend and service integrations.
• Apply performance and reliability testing across mobile platforms to ensure smooth experiences.

Job Description

As Platform QA Chapter Lead on the Platform side at JustPlay, you’ll lead and scale quality assurance for our core app experience — the foundation that powers our games, live operations, and player rewards. Working closely with Engineering, you’ll ensure the platform runs seamlessly across devices, regions, and releases, setting the standard for quality, reliability, and user experience.

You’ll split your time between hands-on QA work and leading the QA engineers in the QA chapter: helping them grow in their craft, spreading good practice, and raising the bar for quality across the teams you work with. A key part of this role will be driving smarter, more scalable testing approaches, including AI-driven testing and automation.

Job Responsibilities

• Own the full QA lifecycle for JustPlay’s app and platform features — from test planning and execution to reporting and defect management.
• Foster a strong quality culture across teams by embedding QA best practices early and tying quality goals to product velocity and platform reliability.
• Drive innovation through AI-driven testing and predictive approaches to identify risks earlier, improve coverage, and reduce manual effort.
• Partner with development, design, and product teams to integrate QA best practices early in the release cycle.
• Design and maintain comprehensive test plans and automated suites for key user flows (login, payments, live events, notifications, etc.).
• Lead, mentor, and scale the QA team — setting up clear processes, code quality standards, and testing frameworks.
• Implement automation and regression testing strategies using tools such as Maestro, Espresso, XCTest, Appium, or similar frameworks.
• Use contract testing (e.g., Pact) to validate backend and service integrations.
• Apply performance and reliability testing across mobile platforms to ensure smooth user experiences.

Job Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in QA for mobile apps or platforms, including at least 2 years leading teams.
• Proven ability to design scalable QA processes in fast-paced, development-heavy environments.
• Strong experience with automation frameworks, regression testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with mobile debugging tools (Android Studio, Xcode) and network analysis tools like Charles.
• Strong understanding of how to build a quality-first mindset across engineering and product teams.
• Interest in or experience with AI-assisted testing and new QA technologies.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and a user-first mindset.
• Familiarity with project and documentation tools such as Jira and Notion.

Nice to have

• Experience in backend integration testing and API monitoring.
• Experience with contract testing frameworks such as Pact.
