Role Overview
Hadron is seeking an insurance technology leader to join our team as Product Director of the Collider Platform. This high visibility role will own the strategic vision, development roadmap, and successful implementation of Hadron's Collider platform - our proprietary global technology infrastructure that transforms how program business and risk management operate across Hadron's international operations. The Collider platform represents Hadron's commitment to redefining the modern hybrid carrier landscape through operational excellence and underwriting integrity at a global scale.
As Product Director, you will lead the evolution of this strategic initiative through its key phases: data ingestion and integration, and advanced risk management analytics. You will be responsible for translating business requirements into product features that bring unprecedented levels of credibility and transparency to the hybrid carrier space. Working with cross-functional teams including technology, underwriting, and analytics, you will drive the platform's ability to harness the power of data while fostering enduring partnerships and sustainable growth.

Core Responsibilities
- Own and evolve the product vision for the Collider platform across all phases of development
- Develop and maintain the product roadmap aligned with Hadron's strategic goals and market demands
- Lead strategic assessment of build vs. buy decisions for all major platform capabilities
- Identify opportunities to leverage AI and LLM technologies to enhance platform capabilities
- Establish product metrics and KPIs that measure the platform's impact on global business outcomes
- Drive the platform's ability to deliver on speed to decision/insight for portfolio improvements across international markets
- Ensure the platform design accommodates different regulatory frameworks and jurisdictions
- Champion user-centered design principles across all platform capabilities
- Establish UX metrics and feedback mechanisms for both internal users and partner interfaces
Platform Capabilities Development
- Lead the development of capabilities that enable real-time program oversight, new business risk assessment, and proactive portfolio management
- Translate the vision for data granularity and fidelity across databases into actionable product features
- Work with actuarial and underwriting leaders to prioritize features related to risk selection, pricing, forms, aggregation, claims, and portfolio optimization
- Define requirements for data ingestion systems that transform disparate program submission data into consistent formats
- Design and implement features leveraging machine learning for risk assessment and portfolio optimization
- Oversee the evaluation, selection, and integration of third-party vendor solutions
- Oversee the creation of partner-specific reports and dashboards that build transparency and trust
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Lead a product management team focused on the Collider platform
- Partner closely with the Principal Systems Architect and PMO to align product vision with technical architecture
- Work strategically with actuarial, underwriting, and data leaders to ensure the platform meets their functional requirements
- Lead vendor evaluation, selection, and proof-of-concept processes for third-party solutions
- Oversee integration strategy for selected vendor systems and manage ongoing vendor relationships
- Drive cross-functional alignment on platform priorities and development roadmap
- Collaborate with underwriting teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Work with data science teams to develop and implement advanced risk modeling capabilities
- Engage with program partners to gather feedback and ensure the platform meets their needs
Market Differentiation
- Position the Collider platform as a key differentiator for Hadron in the hybrid carrier space
- Develop features that combine the efficiency of a DUAE Analytics Platform with disciplined traditional carrier underwriting
- Lead initiatives to address chronic industry issues around data quality and speed to decision
- Drive innovation in program management tools that align with Hadron's role as a transforming intermediary
Qualifications
Required Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Actuarial Science, or related fields
- 10+ years combined experience in software product management and insurance industry roles
- Strong background in software product management methodologies, agile development, and product lifecycle management
- Experience bringing enterprise SaaS or data platform products from concept to market
- Deep understanding of global P&C insurance operations, particularly program business and MGA relationships
- Experience with data platforms, analytics, and insurance underwriting systems
- AI/ML experience implementing machine learning models for risk assessment, anomaly detection, or predictive analytics
- Understanding of NLP and AI applications for policy/claims document processing
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of software product management principles, including user story development and backlog prioritization
- Experience with software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Kanban)
- Understanding of data architecture and global cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Familiarity with data warehousing, ETL processes, and business intelligence tools
- Knowledge of insurance analytics platforms and CAT modeling systems
- Experience with API development, modern integration approaches, and microservices architecture
- Understanding of AI and LLM technologies and their applications in insurance
- Familiarity with vendor evaluation methodologies and integration approaches
- Experience managing proof-of-concept processes and vendor selection
- Understanding of data governance, security, and international regulatory requirements
- Experience with product analytics and metrics-driven product development
