Job summary

Kraken’s Payward unit seeks a seasoned product manager to shape the future of its payments platform. You will own the vision and roadmap for the backend, hosted pages, SDKs and APIs used by internal teams and partners worldwide, guiding multi-tenant infrastructure from API design to go-live.

You will collaborate with engineering, compliance and business stakeholders to balance requirements, ship developer-facing products, and measure platform adoption across jurisdictions and partners.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of product management experience, ideally in a platform, API or infrastructure role where your customers were internal teams or developers.
• Working knowledge of payments: pay-ins and payouts, PSPs, acquirers, and bank rails; knowledge of money flows.
• Strong technical fluency; ability to read an RFC, challenge architecture and write an API spec.
• Experience shipping developer-facing products such as APIs, SDKs, or embeddable UI components.
• Clear, structured writing that stakeholders can act on.
• Skill at managing many stakeholders with different priorities and building alignment without direct authority.

Responsibilities

• Own the product vision and roadmap for the Payward payments platform, covering backend and integration surfaces used by internal clients.
• Map requirements across internal clients to evolve the platform’s vision and capabilities for more use cases.
• Collaborate with engineering to translate vision into a sequenced, high-impact roadmap with milestones for client teams.
• Prioritize competing client needs, make trade-offs visible, and justify decisions.
• Shape the client experience from first conversation to go-live, minimizing the need for heavy hand-holding.
• Coordinate with banking and partnerships teams so new PSPs and banks are integrated once and reach all Payward businesses.
• Incorporate compliance, risk and legal requirements early to avoid launch blockers.
• Set and track platform success metrics like time-to-launch rails and adoption rates.
