At the company, we're on a mission to grow the small business economy. We handle the hard stuff — payroll, health insurance, 401(k)s, and HR — so owners can focus on their craft and their customers. With teams in Denver, San Francisco, and New York, we support more than 500,000 small businesses nationwide and are building a workplace that reflects the people we serve.

You will own cross‑functional projects end to end, partner deeply with Engineering, Product, Accounting, and Finance to design and implement new systems and controls, and act as a subject‑matter expert the team relies on to frame hard problems and drive them to resolution with minimal oversight. You will also raise the team around you: mentoring analysts, building the reusable AI workflows others adopt, and setting the standard for how the work gets done.

We safeguard customer funds and keep financial operations accurate, transparent, and scalable, sitting as the connective tissue between Engineering and Accounting/Finance. That means reconciling money movement, detecting and investigating losses, resolving exceptions as they come up, and continuously improving the processes and tooling that let us do all of it at scale.
