Job summary

OpenAI is seeking a Platform Operations Program Manager to build the operational foundation for plugins, MCP apps, agent skills, and integrations, ensuring scale without compromising trust, quality, or safety.

In this hybrid San Francisco role, you’ll partner across Product, Engineering, Policy, Legal, Security, and Developer Experience to design scalable workflows, own partner reviews, drive AI‑driven automation, and shape product strategy through operational insights.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in program management, developer operations, or related fields.
• Comfort with MCP, APIs, OAuth, authentication, permissions, and data flows.
• Ability to balance speed, safety, and business priorities when making decisions.

Responsibilities

• Own the operational processes that help developers bring apps, plugins, and integrations to market, from submission and review through launch, appeals, and ongoing monitoring.
• Manage external review partners and policy operations workflows, helping teams apply standards consistently while identifying areas where guidance, process, or quality expectations need to improve.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Policy, Legal, Security, Developer Experience, and Go-to-Market teams to turn platform goals and requirements into clear, effective operating processes.
• Lead high-priority partner reviews and escalations, balancing speed to launch with user trust, and consistent standards.
• Create feedback loops across product, policy, tooling, and developer experience teams to reduce friction for developers and improve the quality of integrations over time.
• Lead automation and AI-driven initiatives, such as agentic workflows, to improve the speed, consistency, and scale review and support processes.
