Job summary

Base-2 Solutions seeks a Platform Operations Engineer to support the DOMEX Technology Platform (DTP). You will ensure uptime, performance, and scale of a containerized microservices stack with Kubernetes, Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL, and Kafka, while collaborating with cross-functional teams on releases and incident reviews.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering or related field with 8+ years of experience.
• DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II+ certification is required.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Linux, GitLab pipelines, and containerized environments.
• Experience with cloud services (preferably AWS) and enterprise-scale systems.
• Strong communication and incident response skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure uptime, performance, and capacity for a large-scale Kubernetes-based platform.
• Lead triage, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and post-incident reviews.
• Define and track reliability metrics (SLIs/SLOs) and participate in SAFe planning.
• Collaborate across teams on release planning and cross-functional activities.
• Develop dashboards to monitor key performance indicators and platform health.
