Job summary

Pacific Life in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Manager, API Management platform to lead strategic direction and operations of API Management within the Enablement Platforms Portfolio. You will drive platform transformation, governance, and secure scalable solutions across business units.

The role requires 8+ years in technology program management, 5+ years leading teams, and familiarity with Agile and PaaS models. Strong enterprise architecture and risk management experience are valued.

• 8+ years in technology-related Program or Service Delivery management within insurance or financial services.
• 5+ years leading cross-functional teams and managing complex IT projects.
• Experience defining and implementing operational processes.
• Familiarity with Agile Frameworks and concepts.
• Experience with platform-as-a-service (PaaS) models and embedded engineering frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the API Management platform team through daily operations, transformation and migration efforts.
• Act as the strategic product owner for the API Management platform, defining and executing platform OKRs and roadmap.
• Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and efficient solutions utilizing the platform's tech stacks.
• Ensure platform health, performance, and compliance with enterprise standards.
• Partner with vendors and internal teams for upgrades, licensing, and platform enhancements.
• Oversee platform governance, user access policies, and integration strategies.
• Contribute to architecture design, technical risk management, and process development.
• Support business continuity planning and risk assessments related to Orchestration systems.

We're actively seeking a Manager, API Management platform working in our Charlotte, NC office. As a Manager, API Management platform within the Pacific Life Technology team, this person will lead the strategic direction and operational management of API Management platforms within the Enablement Platforms Portfolio organization of a leading insurance company. The manager will oversee platform transformation, ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, and drive workload automation and optimization across business units.

Base Pay Range

The base pay range noted represents the company's good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.

$138,150.00 - $168,850.00
