Job summary

Moon Innovation Technologies seeks a technical lead to own Moon's core platform, including identity, tenancy, entitlements, payments APIs, and related services. You will ensure robust architecture, reliability, and cross‑team collaboration on critical systems.

You will join a small, senior platform team as its lead engineer, guiding contracts, APIs, and data design while mentoring engineers and driving standards.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of backend engineering with distributed systems in production.
• Deep database and API design experience; payments or fintech integration experience a strong plus.
• Has been the technical lead others calibrate against.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and build of core services: identity, tenancy, entitlements, payments and financing APIs, messaging buses - and the common shared services every module consumes: email, SMS, voice and communication services, and the client database.
• Own database architecture and performance; uphold demanding reliability commitments.
• Enforce contract-first discipline: versioned APIs, clean deprecation windows, no surprise breaking changes.
• Enforce engineering standards via code review across the application, including proper use of the design system via Storybook.
• Mentor the team's engineers; encode critical business rules as CI-enforced invariants.
