Job summary

SiFive in the United States is seeking an intern for the Platform Engineering Technologies team to support and enhance cutting-edge design tools used for SoC development.

You will engage with open source communities around Chisel and CIRCT, applying your OO or functional programming skills and learning Scala while contributing to the tooling that enables SiFive engineers to design and verify high-performance RISC-V CPUs and IPs.

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn and share.
• Ability to communicate and teach others inside and outside the company.
• Experience with object oriented or functional programming languages.
• Exposure to hardware design and verification techniques is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Complete a project specific to the intern's skill set and interests.
• Support and enhance cutting-edge tools for SoC design on the Platform Engineering Technologies team.
• Contribute to open source projects (Chisel, CIRCT) and engage with their communities.
• Learn Scala and how to incorporate user feedback to improve developer tools.
