Job summary

Etched.ai, Inc. in San Jose, CA is looking for mechanical/thermal engineering interns to work on cutting-edge projects related to ASIC systems. Interns will engage in NPI prototyping and help develop innovative cooling technologies within a dynamic team.

This 12-week paid internship offers generous housing support and meals in-office, along with mentorship from industry leaders. Ideal candidates should be pursuing a relevant degree and have experience in hands-on engineering projects.

Qualifications

• Progress toward a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience building real mechanical systems, boards, or other hands-on projects.
• Knowledge of board design cycle, high-speed interconnects, power delivery, and system integration.

Responsibilities

• Work within the mechanical and thermal engineering organization on NPI prototyping.
• Participate in manufacturing fixture development, liquid cooling technologies, and rack-level system development.
• Support the Platform Team in building the full-stack system from PCB to Rack.

Our mechanical/thermal engineering interns will work within the mechanical and thermal engineering organization, with a strong focus on NPI prototyping, manufacturing fixture development, liquid cooling technologies, and rack‑level system development. The Platform Team is building the full‑stack system that supports Etched Silicon from PCB to Rack, and we are seeking interns to work across all aspects of mechanical and electrical engineering to design the future of high‑power ASIC systems.
