Job summary

Maximus seeks a Platform Infrastructure Engineer for an on-site role in Annapolis Junction, MD. Active Secret clearance required. You will deploy and maintain multi-platform environments, oversee architecture, and ensure scalable, reliable operations across locations.

Responsibilities include performance tuning, security assessments, automation, and IaC within RHEL containers, with exposure to VMware, Puppet, Foreman, and monitoring stacks. Government facility, five days on-site.

Qualifications

Minimum 12 years of experience in platform infrastructure or related field.
US citizens (no dual citizenship) due to federal requirements.
On-site position at a government facility in Annapolis Junction, MD.
Must reside within commutable distance and participate in rotational on-call.

Responsibilities

Monitor and optimize system performance and implement corrective actions.
Manage application integrations using TCP/IP, routing, and firewalls.
Conduct cybersecurity vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
Develop and maintain incident response plans and procedures.
Create automation scripts and tools to streamline deployments and provisioning.
Deploy and manage machines with VMware, vCenter, Kickstart, Puppet, Foreman, and CIS-CAT.
Configure host-based security systems and ensure compliance.
Support IaC within RHEL containers using DevOps practices and tools.
Utilize monitoring/logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, IBM NetCool, Solarwinds.
Patch and manage systems with Red Hat Satellite Server.
Provide hardware support for servers/workstations; knowledge of AWS/Azure is a bonus.
