Job summary

Pronoia Energy in Torrance, CA is seeking a Platform and Infrastructure Engineer to turn our on‑prem AI computer and database into a reliable, locked‑down platform. You will enable local model serving, a sandboxed execution environment, and an auditable provenance store, all with default‑deny networking.

You will wear multiple hats as a founding generalist, shaping the secure enclave from day one and handing specialties to later hires, while collaborating across disciplines to deliver a trusted

Qualifications

• Deep backend and systems engineering with on‑premises experience.
• Experience with sandboxing and untrusted-code isolation techniques.
• Security‑minded with auditable, versioned infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Build reliable local model serving and data infrastructure on owned, on‑premises hardware.
• Stand up a sandboxed code execution environment with default‑deny networking.
• Implement the provenance and audit store recording data origins.
• Design an early system with data classification and boundary discipline.
• Wear several hats as a founding generalist and later hand specialties to hires.
