Qualifications

• Hands-on experience writing services in Go or strong proficiency in another systems language.
• Understanding of Kubernetes fundamentals (Pods, Deployments, Services).
• Familiarity with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Curiosity about distributed systems and how services communicate at scale.
• Clear written and verbal communication in a distributed, async-first setting.

Responsibilities

• Build features and components for production services.
• Take ownership of well-scoped pieces of larger projects, from requirements through production.
• Propose technical solutions and bring them through to working code.
• Pair with senior engineers on harder problems and ask clarifying questions early.
• Participate in code reviews and design discussions.
• Help operate the services we own and participate in the on-call rotation.
• Investigate incidents beyond the runbook and improve on-call readiness.
• Automate repetitive work through code.
• Communicate status and blockers early and often.
