Job summary

Mercury is expanding its Infrastructure team to build a platform that scales securely and observably. The engineer will own the infrastructure platform, from networking to container orchestration, and work with product teams to meet AWS needs.

You’ll ship features rapidly while ensuring maintainability and quality. You will collaborate across teams to define architecture through RFCs and technical specs, delivering critical infrastructure projects and tooling that support hundreds of engineers

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with AWS
• Strong interest in cloud native open source tech, and contributing upstream
• Strong knowledge of low-level OS foundations (Linux, file systems, containers)
• Demonstrated ability in technical writing with at least 2 years creating RFCs, tech specs, docs

Responsibilities

• Build the Infrastructure Platform to support Engineering.
• Focus on AI-friendly platform while remaining usable for engineers.
• Deliver infrastructure projects, break down complex initiatives with RFCs and specs
