Job summary

Mercury is building a scalable, secure infrastructure platform to empower thousands of engineers and AI agents. As a member of the Infrastructure team, you will help push the platform further, tackling AWS-heavy systems, containers, and observability to keep production moving fast and safely.

You’ll contribute to Terraform-driven deployments, write RFCs and technical specs, and collaborate with product teams to smooth edge cases in production.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with AWS.
• Interest in cloud native open source technologies; willing to contribute code upstream.
• Strong knowledge of low-level operating system foundations (Linux, filesystems, containers).
• Demonstrated ability in technical writing, with ≥2 years of experience creating RFCs and technical specs.

Responsibilities

• Build the Infrastructure Platform to support the growing Engineering Organization.
• Deliver an AI-friendly platform while remaining usable for engineers; empower both humans and agents.
• Define infrastructure strategy through RFCs and technical specifications; break down complex initiatives.
