Job summary

Maximus is seeking a Platform Infrastructure Engineer to deploy and maintain multiple platforms and support scalable, reliable operations. You will work onsite in Annapolis Junction, MD, with active Secret clearance and cross-functional collaboration to ensure secure, efficient infrastructure.

The role emphasizes IaC, automation, monitoring, security, and compliance across VMware, Puppet/Foreman, Red Hat Satellite, and cloud concepts.

Qualifications

12+ years in related field required.
Active Secret clearance required.
On-site, government facility; commutable distance to Annapolis Junction, MD.

Responsibilities

Monitor and optimize system performance and implement corrective actions.
Manage application integration using TCP/IP, routing, and firewalls.
Conduct cybersecurity vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
Develop and maintain security incident response plans.
Create automation scripts to streamline platform deployments and management tasks.
Deploy and manage machines with VMware, vCenter, Kickstart, Puppet, Foreman, and CIS-CAT.
Configure host-based security systems.
Leverage IaC within RHEL containers.
Use monitoring/logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, IBM NetCool, SolarWinds.
Patch and manage systems with Red Hat Satellite Server.
Provide hardware support for servers/workstations.
Cloud platforms AWS/Azure exposure is a bonus.
