Job summary

American Innovations, Ltd. is seeking a leadership-spirited engineer to guide and scale our platform engineering team in Austin. You will shape the product roadmap, mentor engineers, and champion AI-driven development across our cloud-native stack.

You’ll oversee 4–6 engineers, ensure secure, scalable solutions, and collaborate with product managers, security, and ops to align with strategic roadmaps. A strong background in .NET, cloud platforms, and modern DevOps practices is essential.

Qualifications

8+ years of Software Engineering experience or equivalent.
5 years as a solution architect, tech lead, or team lead.
3+ years of people management experience.
3+ years of experience directing technology direction, execution, and application support.
2+ years of agile transformation.
Background in Computer Science or related degree preferred.
Advanced proficiency with AI-powered development tools and practices.

Responsibilities

Own the platform team's product roadmap by gathering requirements from internal development teams and driving adoption.
Mentor and guide the engineering staff and oversee a 4–6 person team delivering to roadmaps.
Ensure craftsmanship, security, availability, resilience, scalability, and observability of platforms and solutions.
