Job summary

ClassDojo is hiring an Engineering Leader to own the Platform engineering org end-to-end for infrastructure, data, developer experience, and AI tooling. You will manage the engineering managers, set platform direction, and collaborate with product engineering as customers to deliver a scalable, reliable platform.

Qualifications

• 2+ years managing managers, with direct reports who were themselves people managers.
• 10+ years total in technical roles, with a strong IC era you can still draw on.
• Owned a platform, infrastructure, data, or developer-productivity area and delivered a measurable outcome.
• Built or evolved platform engineering practices across multiple teams, not just within one, and earned adoption.
• Excellent written communicator; can articulate strategy and trade-offs clearly in writing.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multi-team Platform org and own the engineering plan that delivers company objectives.
• Translate priorities into a platform roadmap that flows up and down to customers.
• Be responsible for build-vs-buy and architecture-level trade-offs across infra, data, DevEx, and AI tooling; own the roadmap.
