Job summary

Allianz Technology seeks a Senior Manager of Digital Integration & Platform to lead a platform-first engineering team responsible for API layer, microservices, event streaming, and cloud-native infrastructure powering AllianzLife.com.

You will own REST API governance, AWS API Gateway, Kafka event streaming, and MongoDB schemas, while guiding CI/CD on AWS ECS/EKS and collaborating with architects to accelerate reliable delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline.
• 8–10 years of experience in platform, integration, or backend engineering.
• 3–4 years leading and managing engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the full API layer for AllianzLife.com across all domains and ensure contract governance.
• Lead the AWS API Gateway configuration, security, and rate limiting.
• Oversee Java/Spring Boot microservices powering core capabilities.
• Own MongoDB schemas, data governance, and per-service autonomy.
• Build Salesforce integrations and other third-party API connections.
• Define integration contracts with downstream systems and orchestration patterns.
• Own event-driven architecture using Kafka and maintain event schemas.
• Lead cloud-native infrastructure on AWS ECS/EKS and IaC with Terraform/AWS CDK.
• Own CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and drive platform reliability metrics.
