Job summary

The Walt Disney Company is seeking a Platform Engineer to own and optimize a large-scale Splunk environment powering Disney Experiences worldwide. You will design, deploy, and support data pipelines, on-prem server architecture, and observability, with a strong emphasis on reliability and performance.

Responsibilities include end-to-end Splunk stack management, from bare metal through dashboards, along with collaboration with engineering leaders to drive scalable, secure, and automated platforms

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with Splunk administration and development.
• Proven experience owning a Splunk environment end-to-end.
• Hands-on experience with Splunk Enterprise architecture and data ingestion.
• Dashboard and alert development and on-prem/bare-metal infrastructure.
• Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, or similar).

Responsibilities

• Own and manage the full Splunk stack across on-prem and hybrid environments.
• End-to-end responsibility from bare metal infrastructure through Splunk design to dashboards.
• Install, configure, and optimize Splunk components (indexers, search heads, forwarders, clustering).
• Design, deploy, and maintain Splunk infrastructure with high availability.
• Develop data pipelines and ingestion strategies from diverse sources.
• Build dashboards and alerts used by engineering and operations teams.
• Collaborate with software engineering leadership and system teams.
• Ensure security, governance, and access control per enterprise standards.
