Job summary

Archer, in collaboration with MANTECH, seeks a Platform Engineer to join our team in Tampa, FL. You will design, deploy, and maintain production containerized environments, ensuring availability and security for product teams.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Kubernetes/OpenShift, CI/CD, IaC and strong Linux administration, plus a track record of securing cloud-native platforms in enterprise settings.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressively responsible experience in Information Systems Security or Platform Engineering.
• Hands-on experience managing containerized environments such as Kubernetes, OpenShift, or VMware PKS.
• Proficiency in Python or Bash for automation and system management.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
• Working knowledge of Source Version Control and Build/Release tools and methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop, configure, and maintain production container orchestration environments including Kubernetes, OpenShift, and VMware PKS Essentials
• Ensure a modern, secure, and highly available infrastructure foundation for product teams to deploy containerized applications
• Collaborate with co-located team members and product developers to troubleshoot infrastructure and deployment issues
• Monitor platform performance, implement scaling strategies, and ensure system reliability and uptime
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management to streamline platform operations
• Managing the software build process and ensuring a seamless connection to the enterprise CI/CD pipelines
• Maintaining system baselines and configuration management items for the production infrastructure
• Working with stakeholders to ensure complete and functioning systems that meet platform requirements
