Job summary

Onebrief's infrastructure team owns the platform delivering software to military staffs. We operate Kubernetes clusters across cloud and edge deployments, and manage a unified artifact pipeline for signed builds.

You will join a distributed team, collaborating with GRC and mission owners to meet strict security and audit demands in classified environments. As a Platform Engineer, you will design, build, and run the platform end-to-end, contribute RFCs and PRDs, and review production code with

Qualifications

• 5+ years operating production infrastructure in DevOps/DevSecOps, Platform, SRE, Cloud, or Infrastructure roles.
• Full-stack engineering experience when necessary, e.g., production experience designing, building, and operating services in a modern backend language.
• Deep production Kubernetes experience: operators, networking, storage, multi-cluster operations.
• Expertise with major cloud providers (AWS, Azure) and cross-provider design.
• Security fundamentals: identity, network segmentation, secrets management, vulnerability classes.
• Experience shipping workloads into disconnected or air-gapped environments.
• Ability to obtain a SECRET clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, iterate, and deploy secure production systems across cloud-native and edge deployments.
• Embed with cross-functional teams and advise on infrastructure, security, and deployment practices.
• Own end-to-end infrastructure outcomes for critical programs.
• Harden the artifact pipeline for cloud, high-side, and air-gapped deployments.
