Job summary

Storm2 is seeking a hands-on infrastructure engineer to own significant parts of the platform beneath the engineering team, from Terraform provisioning through CI/CD, observability and internal tooling.

You will harden deployment tooling, expand visibility across metrics and logs, and build abstractions that let product engineers ship quickly without becoming infrastructure experts.

Qualifications

• 5+ years owning production infrastructure in a real-world system.
• Proven IaC experience with Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation.
• Strong cloud experience (GCP/AWS/Azure), with emphasis on GCP.
• Experience building CI/CD and internal tooling, not just using platforms.
• Hands-on with Kubernetes/ECS and container orchestration.
• Backend coding ability in Go, Python or TypeScript.
• Hands-on observability tooling knowledge (Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry).
• Strong IAM and secrets management practices.

Responsibilities

• Own infrastructure-as-code across networking, IAM, VPCs and provisioning.
• Harden CI/CD, secrets management and self-service deployment tooling.
• Build internal abstractions and tooling to speed engineers.
• Expand observability across metrics collection, monitoring and alerting.
• Support production cloud infrastructure and reliability for messaging systems.
• Build tooling around compliance and infrastructure remediation.
• Improve developer onboarding and cloud cost visibility.
