Job summary

SOFICO is expanding its engineering team from its Porto office with multiple Platform Engineers. You will design and automate cloud-native environments using Kubernetes, Azure, Terraform, and Ansible to support global automotive leaders, driving infrastructure modernization and reliability.

You will mentor peers, solve complex technical challenges, and help transform legacy components into scalable cloud-native solutions while collaborating with customers and Sofico teams.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with Kubernetes, Helm, Linux and cloud platforms (Azure or AWS).
• Familiarity with Oracle/MS SQL and core networking concepts (DNS, firewalls).
• Fluent English and ability to explain technical topics to non-technical audiences.
• Comfort working directly with customers and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Build environments and microservices using Kubernetes, Azure, and on-premise infrastructure.
• Utilize Terraform, Ansible, and GitOps workflows.
• Maintain global environments using OpsGenie, Prometheus, Grafana, FluentBit, and Loki.
• Help customers and internal Sofico teams solve complex technical challenges.
• Transform legacy components into scalable, cloud-native solutions.
• Mentor peers and contribute to engineering standards across the company.

In this role, you will design and automate cloud-native environments using Kubernetes, Azure, Terraform, and Ansible to support global automotive leaders. Additionally, you will drive infrastructure modernization and ensure high system reliability through advanced monitoring.

What you bring...

• Proven experience with Kubernetes, Helm, Linux, and a major cloud provider (preferably Azure or AWS);
• Familiarity with Oracle/MS SQL and core networking concepts (DNS, firewalls);
• Fluency in English with the ability to explain technical topics to non-technical audiences;
• Comfort working directly with customers, including joining customer calls, asking the right questions, and resolving issues.
