Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. is seeking a Junior to Mid-Level Platform Engineer to design, implement, and maintain specialized developer platforms. You’ll manage Linux systems (on‑prem and cloud), automate infrastructure, and deploy containerized apps in Kubernetes.

The role requires 3–7 years of Linux admin experience, 1+ year of Kubernetes exposure, and a TS/SCI with polygraph willingness. This is an onsite position in Chantilly, VA with competitive pay and strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• 3–7 years of hands-on Linux system administration experience.
• At least 1 year of Kubernetes experience or related cloud-native tech.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and automation.
• Ability to obtain a TS/SCI eligibility and polygraph willingness.
• Experience with hardware, software and networking equipment.
• Excellent documentation and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage Linux systems (on‑prem and cloud).
• Provide hardware and software support for users and staff.
• Design, implement, and test features for high-performance computing products.
• Develop system documentation and runbooks.
• Build and deploy containerized apps in Kubernetes; write Helm charts.
• Automate infrastructure tasks with Ansible, Python or Bash.
• Remediate critical vulnerabilities end‑to‑end with patching and validation.
• Collaborate with security, systems, and support teams.
• Follow change management and best practices.
