Job summary

Fintal Partners' Platform Engineering group is accelerating how technology teams operate by providing self-service tools, docs, and support for on‑prem environments. This role focuses on building and running reliable, high‑performance Kubernetes clusters and the surrounding CI/CD pipelines that power our on‑prem software stack.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on Kubernetes experience, ideally on-prem.
• Deep knowledge of containerization and orchestration.
• Experience designing and building CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong grasp of Kubernetes security best practices.
• Working knowledge of Kubernetes storage and networking.
• Able to diagnose and fix complex problems quickly.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Build, run and maintain highly available, high-performance on-prem Kubernetes clusters.
• Deploy and manage containerized applications on Kubernetes with in-house tooling.
• Work with engineering teams to design and build CI/CD pipelines for on-prem environments.
• Monitor, debug and tune clusters for reliability and performance.
• Apply on-prem Kubernetes security best practices, including RBAC, network policies and secrets management.
• Write automation to manage infrastructure and keep environments consistent across clusters.
• Optimize the storage and networking setups that support the clusters.
• Own cluster upgrades, backups and disaster recovery planning.
• Keep up with Kubernetes and on-prem infrastructure developments and bring useful updates into the environment.

What You’ll Do:
