Job description

We are looking for an experienced Kubernetes / DevOps Engineer to join the Platform Engineering function of a leading hedge fund, building the infrastructure and platforms that underpin investment, research and engineering teams across the business.

Platform Engineering owns the end-to-end experience of how engineers and quantitative researchers build, test, deploy and operate software at scale. The team is responsible for the critical infrastructure behind production trading and research environments – from Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure through to CI/CD, developer tooling, observability and automation.

This is a highly technical engineering role with the opportunity to work on complex infrastructure operating at significant scale, where reliability, performance and automation are critical.

You will design, build and operate highly available platforms that enable engineering and investment teams to deploy applications and workloads quickly, safely and reliably.

A major focus will be the firm's Kubernetes ecosystem, developing scalable container platforms capable of supporting large numbers of applications, services and compute-intensive workloads across multiple environments.

You will work closely with software engineers, quantitative researchers, portfolio management, data and infrastructure teams to understand their requirements and turn them into resilient, automated platform solutions.
