DRW in Chicago seeks a Platform Engineer Intern to join our advanced technology team for a ten-week program. You will help maintain and improve platform reliability, scalability and efficiency under senior technologists' guidance.

You'll work on meaningful projects, participate in social events, and benefit from housing near the office. The internship emphasizes learning through courses, mentorship, and cross-functional collaboration with traders, researchers and engineers.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s/master’s/PhD in a STEM field with graduation between Dec 2027 and Jun 2028.
• Exposure to networking, Linux/Unix admin, Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD tools.
• Understanding of large-scale distributed systems and strong scripting in Python and Bash.

Responsibilities

• Improve lifecycle of services from design to operation and refinement.
• Design and deliver software to improve availability, latency and efficiency of DRW’s services.
• Collaborate with systems, infra engineers, traders, researchers and analysts in cross-functional teams.
