Job summary

DRW is seeking a Software Developer Intern in Chicago to build advanced trading and risk applications using cutting-edge tech. You will develop computation-heavy software under veteran technologists, with a goal to deploy within ten weeks and enjoy city-life social events.

You should be pursuing a degree in CS/CE/Physics/Math/ML with a Dec 2027–Jun 2028 graduation window, and have exposure to network programming, multi-threading, and OO design. Proficiency in C++, Python or Java is expected.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Degree in CS/CE/Physics/Math/ML or related field with an expected graduation between Dec 2027 and Jun 2028.
• Exposure to network programming (TCP/IP), multi-threaded apps, real-time programming or GUI programming.
• Strong understanding of OO design, data structures, and algorithms.
• Eagerness to learn and apply what you have learned.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy proprietary software solutions across the firm.
• Build decoders and normalizers to process exchange data and support trading workflows.
• Perform data-driven research and statistical analytics on large datasets.
• Collaborate with software developers, quantitative traders, researchers and analysts in cross-functional teams.
