Job summary

CME Group in New York is seeking a Platform Engineer III to develop, design, and maintain automation tools and orchestration for large-scale, data-intensive systems. You will build solutions that help users understand health and operations of our infrastructure and monitor performance to address issues.

Collaborate with internal SRE, operations, and networking teams to define requirements, develop specs, and document procedures.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Information Technology or related field and 12 months of related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop, design, and maintain automation tools and orchestration for large-scale data-intensive systems.
• Build and improve tools for users to understand and analyze health and operations of infrastructure.
• Monitor performance of infrastructure and develop automated solutions to address issues.
• Collaborate with SRE, operations, and networking teams to define requirements and communicate expectations.
• Develop specs, documentation, and user support guides; track delivery and dependencies.

Education

Master’s degree or foreign equivalent (CS/EE/IT or related field)
