Job summary

Appfigures, New York, NY, is seeking an experienced infrastructure engineer to scale and maintain our platform. This hybrid role combines system administration, engineering, and on-call responsibilities to keep services reliable as we grow.

You’ll work across physical servers and Google Cloud, driving automation and architecture decisions with developers and data scientists. A strong sense of ownership and mentorship will help guide the team forward.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software, infrastructure engineering, or DevOps experience.
• Comfort with low-level performance details and optimization.
• Disciplined approach to development, testing, observability, and QA.
• Willingness to mentor teammates and share knowledge.
• Enjoy solving problems and communicating solutions clearly.

Responsibilities

• Scale physical and cloud infrastructure as the platform grows.
• Improve monitoring and reporting systems to enhance visibility.
• Speed up the software delivery cycle through automation and tooling.
• Automate processes to improve maintainability and clarity.
• Contribute to high-level design decisions about the Appfigures platform.
• Work closely with development and data science teams.
• Participate in a monthly on-call rotation (one week per month).
