Job summary

Flexcompute, Inc. is hiring a Software Engineer for the Tidy3D infrastructure team to own and improve the platform. You will build backend services, manage the control plane, and ensure reliable deployment and release processes across cloud and on‑prem environments.

You will work with Python, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform to scale GPU-accelerated simulations, handle multi-tenant usage, and keep the system healthy through monitoring and incident response.

Qualifications

• Strong Python experience building backend services.
• Experience operating production cloud services.
• Familiarity with AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes in production.
• Infrastructure as code with Terraform.

Responsibilities

• Design and build backend services for the Tidy3D platform.
• Operate the control plane, APIs, services, and data model for task submission, job state, and result delivery.
• Build scheduling and resource management for GPU-backed simulations across clusters.
• Manage deployment, release pipelines, and multi-tenant concerns.
