Job summary

Nodes & Links is building an AI-first SaaS platform to manage extremely large projects. We architect and operate a scalable AWS-based backend, leveraging CDK and IaC while empowering engineers with automation.

We seek a hands-on engineer with 3–7 years of enterprise experience, strong AWS exposure, and a passion for continuous learning. Remote-friendly team, equity, health coverage, and growth budgets included.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of professional experience in developing enterprise-grade solutions
• You love learning new tech, sharing knowledge, and taking ownership
• You have agency. You always find ways to unblock yourself and others
• You’ve used AWS in a professional setting
• Qualifications go a long way, but getting your hands dirty with end-to-end AWS solutions is what we’re really looking for
• Use and appreciate infrastructure as code
• Degree in Computer Science, or similar technical field of study
• Frontend experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Architect our AWS cloud using Infrastructure-as-Code.
• Leverage AWS CDK to muster services like Lambda, ECS, EC2, S3, RDS, and more.
• Write tools, frameworks, pipelines and automations for engineers.
• Own AWS Well Architected pillars such as Security and Cost.
• Delegate grunt work to AI agents and write MCP tools for internal use.
• Follow best SDLC practices and maintain Jira hygiene.
• Interact with Bash, Docker, Python, TypeScript, Angular, nx, Redis, Grafana, Pusher and MySQL.

What does Nodes & Links do? Did you know that an ancient Roman Aqueduct initially cost 12 million sesterces but ended up costing more than 30 million? Big projects have always been problematic to humanity - we want to fix that. We are developing an AI-first SaaS platform to help people who deal with very large projects. If someone is building a nuclear plant or a data center, they need a special kind of software to organize and prioritize their work. That's us.

• Architect our AWS cloud using Infrastructure-as-Code.
• Leverage AWS CDK to muster a plethora of services like Lambda, ECS, EC2, S3, RDS, Step Functions, IAM, Codebuild, Elasticache and many more.
• Write tools, frameworks, pipelines and automations that can be used by the engineers to propel our product to the stratosphere.
• Own multiple pillars of AWS Well Architected Framework, like Security and Cost, and ensure the blueprints given to developers are respected using automation.
• Delegate grunt work to AI agents and write your own MCP tools so that AI agents can optimally be used internally, accelerating Engineering productivity.
• Follow best SDLC practices and maintain good Jira hygiene.
• Interact with a variety of languages, frameworks and tools, including Bash, Docker, Python, TypeScript, Angular, nx, Redis, Grafana, Pusher and MySQL.
