Job summary

Sift is seeking a Platform/Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable infrastructure for our data platform. You will collaborate with software teams to optimize performance and reliability while implementing monitoring, alerting, and automation across cloud and on-prem environments.

Qualifications

• 3+ years designing and managing cloud-based distributed systems.
• Hands-on with Docker, Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid deployments (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and testing strategies.
• Proactive, ownership-driven, startup-ready attitude.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable infrastructure for the platform.
• Collaborate with software engineers to improve performance and reliability.
• Implement monitoring, alerts, and logging for proactive issue resolution.
• Automate deployments and streamline infrastructure management.
• Evolve backend architecture for cloud and on-prem deployments.
• Help set roadmap and drive initiatives for reliability and cost efficiency.
