Job summary

Amano-McGann is seeking a Platform Engineer in California to build, operate, and improve the core technology platform that powers our development teams. You will design cloud infrastructure, manage Kubernetes, and support reliable deployments across development, staging, and production.

You will collaborate with software engineers, security, and other teams to deliver scalable, secure, and observable platform capabilities, while automating tasks and fostering reusable, self‑service

Qualifications

• Experience as a platform, cloud, DevOps, or infrastructure engineer.
• Strong cloud experience (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Hands-on Kubernetes administration in production.
• Experience with Terraform and IaC.
• Scripting with Bash or Python/Go.
• Experience with CI/CD and modern delivery practices.
• Solid networking, security, and cloud architecture knowledge.
• Ability to troubleshoot across stack; strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and improve core cloud infra across environments.
• Design and manage Kubernetes clusters and services.
• Develop infrastructure-as-code and automation for repeatable deployments.
• Support releases, configurations, and troubleshooting with dev teams.
• Build CI/CD capabilities and deployment tooling.
• Develop and support shared platform services.
• Maintain platform reliability, security, observability, and performance.
• Monitor health and troubleshoot platform and app issues.
• Automate operational tasks and reduce manual work.
• Collaborate with application teams to create reusable solutions.
• Contribute to incident response and post-mortems.
• Evaluate new cloud/K8s technologies and document standards.
