Job summary

Amano‑McGann, Inc. is seeking a Platform Engineer to build, operate, and continuously improve our core technology platform. You will design and maintain cloud infrastructure, manage Kubernetes environments, and support releases to enable teams to deliver applications reliably.

The role emphasizes automation, developer experience, and scalable, secure platform capabilities, with collaboration across security and software engineering teams to drive reliability and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience as a platform/cloud/DevOps/infrastructure or systems engineer.
• Strong cloud experience in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Hands-on Kubernetes administration in production environments.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform).
• Proficiency in scripting (Bash) and programming (Python/Go).
• Experience with CI/CD and modern software delivery practices.
• Solid understanding of networking, IAM, security, compute, storage, and cloud architecture.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and improve core cloud infrastructure across development, staging, and production environments.
• Design, administer, and improve Kubernetes clusters and supporting services.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code and automation for repeatable deployments.
• Collaborate with development teams to support releases, deployments, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Build and maintain CI/CD capabilities and deployment tooling to improve speed and reliability.
• Develop, operate, and support core and shared application services used across the organization.
• Establish and maintain standards for reliability, security, scalability, observability, and performance.
• Monitor platform health and assist in troubleshooting and resolution of issues.
• Automate operational processes and eliminate manual tasks.
• Collaborate with application teams to provide reusable platform solutions.
• Contribute to incident response, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement of platform reliability.
• Evaluate new cloud, Kubernetes, and platform technologies and recommend value-adding solutions.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and platform standards.
