Job summary

Amano-McGann, Inc. is seeking a Platform Engineer to build, operate, and improve the core technology platform that enables development teams to deliver applications reliably and efficiently.

The role involves designing cloud infrastructure, managing Kubernetes clusters, supporting releases, and developing shared services to underpin our applications. A hands-on engineer who automates and optimizes is ideal.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience as a platform/cloud/DevOps/infrastructure or systems engineer.
• Strong experience with cloud infrastructure and services (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud).
• Hands-on administration of Kubernetes in production environments.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform).
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Bash, Python, Go).
• Experience with CI/CD systems and modern software delivery practices.
• Strong understanding of networking, IAM, security, compute, storage, and cloud architecture.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and improve core cloud infrastructure across development, staging, and production environments.
• Design, administer, and improve Kubernetes clusters and supporting services.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code and automation for consistent deployments.
• Partner with development teams to support releases, deployments, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Build and maintain CI/CD capabilities and deployment tooling to improve speed and reliability of software delivery.
• Develop, operate, and support core and shared services used across the organization.
• Establish and maintain standards for reliability, security, scalability, observability, and performance.
• Monitor platform health and participate in incident response and root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with application teams to provide reusable platform solutions.
• Evaluate new cloud, Kubernetes, and platform technologies and document standards.
