Job summary

Panera LLC on the Saint Louis campus is seeking a Platform Engineer to build, support, and improve automation, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure platforms that enable software delivery across the organization.

You will work with development, QA, and infrastructure teams to boost reliability, efficiency, and developer productivity while growing in cloud infrastructure, automation, and platform engineering.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Systems Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or related field.
• Foundational understanding of CI/CD concepts and software delivery practices.
• Experience with source control systems such as GitLab or GitHub.
• Experience scripting with Python, Bash, PowerShell, or JavaScript.
• Experience with Linux administration.
• Exposure to Infrastructure as Code concepts and tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
• Experience with Docker containers.
• Basic understanding of Kubernetes concepts.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application and infrastructure deployments.
• Assist in developing Infrastructure as Code solutions for cloud and on-premises environments.
• Collaborate with development teams to improve build, deployment, and release processes.
• Develop automation scripts and tooling to reduce manual effort.
• Support containerized applications running in Kubernetes environments.
• Monitor systems and resolve operational issues.
• Participate in incident response and root cause analysis activities.
• Maintain source control and branching standards.
• Assist with platform upgrades, migrations, and modernization efforts.
• Contribute to documentation and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
