Job summary

Fig Technology Inc. in San Francisco is seeking a Platform Engineer to join a team that builds the platform every deployment runs on.

You will own a lane—from agent harness to deployment tooling—and turn field-built pieces into platform features for the next customers. You will own production: tracing, metrics, safe rollouts, incident response, and the cost/latency tradeoffs of running large language models in production.

Qualifications

• Four or more years of experience building production systems.
• Proficient in at least one of Python, TypeScript or Go and able to read the others.
• Experience shipping features for real users, ideally with LLMS or AI components.

Responsibilities

• Build and run the systems every deployment depends on (agent harness, eval framework, connector layer, customer deployment tooling).
• Turn field-built pieces into platform features with tests, docs and rollout plans.
• Own production: tracing, metrics, safe rollouts, incident response, and latency/cost tradeoffs of running frontiers models.
• Ship weekly and push changes to production in customers' environments.
• Collaborate on-site with deployment pods to ensure the platform is shaped by customer needs.
