Job summary

Sapear Inc. seeks a Platform Engineer / AWS Platform Engineer / Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) for an on-site role in Las Vegas, NV.

The ideal candidate will own cloud infrastructure, automation, and observability while ensuring reliable service delivery in a fast-paced Agile environment. Responsibilities include managing AWS services, implementing IaC with Terraform, operating EKS clusters with Istio, and building robust monitoring with CloudWatch, Grafana, and OTEL.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with core AWS services: VPC, EC2, S3, IAM, Route 53, Backups, EKS, SSO, MSK, Security Hub, GuardDuty, and related security/compliance tooling.
• Advanced networking knowledge, including AWS Transit Gateway and Direct Connect; setup, troubleshooting, and hybrid connectivity.
• Observability & Monitoring with CloudWatch, Grafana, OTEL, proactive alerting.
• IaC & Automation with Terraform, GitLab CI/CD, and Shell scripting.
• Container orchestration with Kubernetes (EKS) and Istio for traffic management, security, and observability.
• Security & patching in cloud-native and containerized environments, best practices.
• Python development for scripting, automation, and tooling.
• Ability to work in Agile/Scrum teams and collaborate cross-functionally.
• Experience in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Own platform release pipelines and deployment automation.
• Configure and maintain observability tooling and dashboards.
• Manage cloud infrastructure and security hardening practices.
• Develop Terraform modules and CI/CD pipelines for scalable delivery.
• Operate Kubernetes (EKS) clusters and Istio service mesh.
• Collaborate with product, security, and ops teams in sprints.

Title: Platform Engineer / AWS Platform Engineer / Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) – AWS Location: Las Vegas, NV (Onsite - Mon to Fri) Description: Platform Engineer (Combination of Release Engineer, Monitor Kibanna, Dynatrace, Apigee)

• Strong experience with core AWS services: VPC, EC2, S3, IAM, Route 53, Backups, EKS, SSO, MSK, Security Hub, GuardDuty, and related security/compliance tooling.
• Advanced networking knowledge, including hands-on experience with AWS Transit Gateway (TGW) and Direct Connect — setup, troubleshooting, and hybrid connectivity.
• Observability & Monitoring: Experience with Amazon CloudWatch, Grafana, Open Telemetry (OTEL), and proactive alerting and telemetry configuration.
• Infrastructure as Code & Automation: Proficient in Terraform, GitLab CI/CD, and Shell scripting for end-to-end automation.
• Container Orchestration: Solid understanding of Kubernetes (EKS) and Istio service mesh for traffic management, security, and observability.
• Security & Patching: Experienced in patching and vulnerability remediation in cloud-native and containerized environments, aligned with best practices and compliance.
• Programming & Scripting: Hands-on Python development experience for scripting, automation, and infrastructure tooling.
