Job summary

Momentum Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer in Maryland to support the migration of corporate systems into AWS. Candidates must have deep expertise in AWS and strong experience in designing automated cloud infrastructure.

Qualifications

  • Possession of a Cloud certification is required.

Job Summary
  • Seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer with deep expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS) to support the migration of corporate hardware‑based systems into the WANDS/AWS environment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience designing, deploying, securing, and automating cloud infrastructure while ensuring high availability, scalability, and operational resilience.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Set up, configure, and manage AWS EC2 environments, including compute provisioning, networking, and security controls
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Ansible to automate deployment, configuration management, and repeatable infrastructure builds
  • Apply expertise in the AWS Well‑Architected Framework, including Operational Excellence, Security, Reliability, Performance Efficiency, Cost Optimization, and Sustainability, to ensure compliant and resilient cloud solutions
  • Leverage Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) best practices to automate operational tasks, design highly available and fault‑tolerant systems, and implement robust monitoring, logging, and alerting capabilities
Required Qualifications
  • Must have active Top Secret/SCI clearance with NSA Full Scope Polygraph
  • Fourteen (14) years of experience in software development/engineering, including requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, and problem diagnosis/resolution
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or in a related technical field is highly desired and will be considered equivalent to two (2) years of experience
  • A Master's degree in a Technical Field will be considered equivalent to four (4) years of experience
  • A degree in Mathematics, Information Systems, Engineering, or a similar degree will be considered
  • One of the following certifications required:
    • AWS Certified Developer‑Associate
    • AWS Certified Solutions Architect‑Associate
    • AWS Certified Solutions Architect‑Professional
    • AWS Certified SysOps Administrator‑Associate
    • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKAD)
    • Elastic Certified Engineer
    • Elastic Certified Obervability Engineer
  • Possession of a Cloud certification is required and will be verified as part of the interview or offer process.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, DevOps, CI/CD, and automation

165,000 - 230,000 USD per year (NBP)
