Job summary

Kforce has a client in West Palm Beach, FL seeking an Associate Platform Engineer. You will contribute to production infrastructure automation and cloud-native services.

You will gain hands-on with Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform, and scripting in Go, Python, or Bash while supporting CI/CD and incident response. This role emphasizes collaboration in a remote team and strong problem solving.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field or equivalent experience.
• Familiarity with at least one programming or scripting language (Go, Python, Bash).
• Basic understanding of Linux systems and command-line operations.
• Interest in cloud infrastructure, containers and Kubernetes.
• Strong problem-solving and curiosity for unfamiliar systems.
• Excellent communication and collaboration in a remote team.

Responsibilities

• Learn and contribute to production infrastructure automation using Ansible and Terraform.
• Assist in building and maintaining cloud-native services across VKE, VLB and VCR.
• Develop hands-on skills with Kubernetes and container runtimes through guided project work.
• Write tooling and scripts (Go, Python, Bash) to support platform operations.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows for platform services.
• Dig into issues across networking, containers and Linux systems with curiosity.
• Contribute to open-source tools and libraries with guidance from senior engineers.
• Participate in on-call rotation and incident response as you build operational experience.
